Academic Research on the Internet

When searching the web for sources many things are important to remember:

1. use different keyword combinations on different search engines
2. search metasearch engines and maybe use http://www.noodletools.com/ for a list of different search engines using "choose the best search"
3. and keep a bibliography of your sources. Maybe through bibme.org.
For my topic I used the combinations of:
Technology AND Family AND Relations/Relationships.
Technology AND Family AND Strain
Screen time AND Family AND relationships

When searching the metasearch engines of
ex)Dogpile.com:
http://www.calsouthern.edu/content/articles/technology-impact-on-social-relationships-surprising-data/
http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/happiness-in-world/201006/the-effect-technology-relationships
http://www.science20.com/news_articles/teens_too_much_screen_time_have_poorer_relationships

look through noodletools:
i didn't have luck on my topic but if your topic is more historical, factual or about the arts this will work well.

My bibliography so far consists of the websites above and a scholarly article i found on an encyclopedia:
encyclopedia bib. through bibme.org:
Schaffer, H. Rudolph. Key concepts in developmental psychology. London: Sage Publications, 2006. Print.
